In the evaluation of each course; The contribution rate of midterm exams, homework, practice and other studies for which students are responsible to the success grade is taken into account. Success grade; It is calculated from mid-semester evaluation and final exam grades. The contribution of the final exam to the success grade is determined by the course instructor as minimum 40% and maximum 60%. Course instructors determine the contribution of the studies that will constitute the mid-term evaluation to the final grade. A student who does not take the end-of-semester and/or make-up exam, if any, is deemed to have failed the relevant course. In order to be evaluated for a course or application, the student's final exam grade and make-up grade, if any, must be 60 out of 100 points. Students who fall below this score are considered directly unsuccessful. The application grade is determined out of 100 points by the instructor and staff who carry out the application. The evaluation of students' application success is made by the relevant instructor in the application environment. Success and the transfer of theoretical knowledge developed according to the characteristics of this course into practice are determined by the course instructor. When giving a practical grade for students who do not have an attendance requirement but retake the course, the course instructor may ask the students to participate in evaluations such as seminars, practice exams, case presentations, case discussions and similar evaluations. Even if students fulfill the attendance requirement in applied vocational courses, if their practical grade is below 50, they are considered unsuccessful in this course and cannot take the end-of-year and make-up exams of the relevant course. Repeats the lesson and application. Students who fulfill the attendance requirement, whose practical grade is over 50, but who cannot achieve a passing grade according to the average of their practical and final grades and who fail their theoretical grades, take the theoretical and practical midterm exam(s) and the final exam in the next year of the course. Additionally, there is no attendance requirement and repeated courses are not included in the credit limit. Exams are evaluated out of 100 points. In converting a grade given out of 100 points into a letter grade; The weight of the midterm exam, mid-term studies and final exam is taken into account and a letter grade is given by the instructor according to the grade ranges below. Success evaluation for undergraduate programs is made as follows: Students who receive one of the letter grades of 90-100 (AA), 85-89 (BA), 80-84 (BB), 70-79 (CB) and 60-69 (CC) from a course. They are considered to have succeeded in that lesson. Students who receive one of the letter grades DC (50-59), DD (40-49), FD (30-39) and FF (0-29) from a course are considered unsuccessful in that course. For students who cannot take the final exam due to an excuse accepted by the department chair, the grades they receive from the final excuse exam will replace their final exam grades. Students who fail a course or cannot take the course in the required semester must take this course again in the first semester it is offered. Students may repeat courses in which they received a CC grade, with the approval of the advisor, in order to increase their overall GPA. In repeated courses, the last grade received is valid and this last grade is used in the calculation of the overall weighted grade point average. Students can take make-up exams for the courses they failed. In order to take the make-up exam; It is mandatory to enroll in the relevant courses in the academic year in which the exams will be held and to meet the requirements for taking the final exam of these courses. Students who cannot take make-up exams are not given the right to take an excuse exam. Make-up exams can be taken from courses with letter grades below CC. It is mandatory to get at least 60 points out of 100 in the make-up exam. The grade obtained in the make-up exam replaces the final exam of that course. A letter grade is given, taking into account the weight of the midterm exam and semester studies, if any. Make-up exams are held at the end of each semester and before graduation exams. Make-up letter grades are included in the semester GPA.
